Hands-on control with logically arranged knobs, sliders, and buttons! Triple-stacked engine (like 3 synths in one!) I have already some modern synths (with deep menu diving screens, etc) but Gaia is really unique!! I guess it may be my favorite synth!!
Weight of korg poly 800 how to#
This is not a "nice toy" (like a reviewer wrote here) but a serious old-fashioned synth! If you're used to modern screen-menu diving based synths with hunderds factory-ready presets and no need to design your own presets, then you may not like this synth, BUT if you'd like to learn how to program a synth with no hidden screen menus (like the good old times) and be able to make almost every sound you imagine, in a clear-visible way, then try this synth! Maybe it's for you! This is an amazing virtual-analog synth!! It’s Digital, So what, you have a lot of fun with this and it is inspiring in its own little way and there is very little around in this price bracket that will match the features and playability of the little baby. Most of the 64 presets are very good and really get the creative juice flowing and you 64 locations for your own sounds too. All of the major setting are at hand on a button Or a slider.
The immediate playability is amazing and it’s such a liberating experience not to have pages of menus to go through just to change something. I haven’t had so much fun and delight in years with a synth and I,ve been playing since I got my first synth a Korg Poly 800 in 1984 and I’ve many keyboards since then. What a brilliant little synth, it arrived this morning and I,m still playing with it.
